Description
Alux is a hot 15-year-old novelty from the Salvadoran distillery Cihuatán. It is a limited edition of rum, which is created in honor of the Mayan Alux, the guardian gods of the earth. According to Mayan tradition, these gods lived in the corn and cocoa fields, which were considered the most sacred gifts of the earth.
The rum was made from a mixture of light and heavy rums distilled using a Column Still, aged between 15 years. After mixing, the rum was filled into ex-sherry Oloroso and ex-cognac casks, thanks to which it acquired a pleasant taste of dark chocolate, rice pudding, caramel and spices.
The rum comes in a beautiful brown-gold gift box that will stand out perfectly in your collection. We recommend serving neat at room temperature.
