Description
Alux is a hot 15-year-old newcomer from the Salvadoran distillery Cihuatán. It is a limited edition rum created in honor of the Mayan Aluxes, the guardian gods of the earth. According to Mayan tradition, these gods lived in corn and cocoa fields, which were considered the most sacred gifts of the earth.
The rum was made from a blend of light and heavy rums distilled using Column Still, which aged for 15 years. After blending, the rum was filled into ex-sherry Oloroso and ex-cognac casks, which imparted pleasant flavors of dark chocolate, rice pudding, caramel, and spices.
The rum comes in a beautiful brown-gold gift packaging that will perfectly stand out in your collection. We recommend serving it neat at room temperature.
