Bundle Gran Duque de Alba XO + Polignac XO

This exceptional brandy, Gran Duque de Alba XO, is the result of combining different Gran Duque de Alba soleras with deep reserves from the Oro series. It is aged using the traditional criaderas y soleras system in American oak barrels that previously contained Don Guido sherry (Pedro Ximénez) with a certified age of 20 years. The average ageing period is approximately 18 years, resulting in a very old and rich blend.

The colour ranges from old mahogany to dark ebony, with a high gloss, which indicates the rich content of the brandy. The aroma is intense, with notes of raisins, plums, fresh grapes and vanilla, possibly with hints of ‘antique furniture varnish’, typical of long-aged brandy.

The taste is complex and majestic – oily, velvety and very long. Dominant notes of nuts, oak and a creamy vanilla finish with a lingering persistence.

The name of this noble brand refers to the Duke of Alba from 1945, the birth of which was realised at Williams & Humbert in Jerez de la Frontera (a company founded in 1877). This distillery is one of the most important in the region and is responsible for the top quality of brandy de Jerez. The XO designation emphasises the exceptionally long ageing (at least 6 years for classic XO, but here up to 18 years on average).
