501 Solera
One of Spain's best-selling brandies, Brandy 501 is produced by the family-owned company Bodegas 501 from El Puerto de Santa María, founded in 1783.
It is distilled from wine distillates, which are then aged in oak barrels that previously held sherry – a process that gives it a delicate aroma of wood, sherry and dried fruit.
Maturation takes place using the solera method, where a smaller portion is mixed between barrels of different ages – typically an average of about 1 year – which ensures consistent quality and style.
The aroma is dominated by notes of oak, vanilla and dried fruit (e.g. raisins or dried apricots). The taste is smooth, warm and balanced with subtle hints of cinnamon and sherry that linger in the long finish – ideal for lovers of medium-smooth spirits.
The bottles are sparkling with an alcohol content of 36 % and a volume of 0,7 l.
