Bundle Equiano + Doorly's 12 Year Old + Black Tears Spiced free
Equiano is a unique Afro-Caribbean unsweetened molasses rum. This blend is mixed with molasses from Gray's distilleries on the African island of Mauritius and Foursquare on the island of Barbados.
Rum is first aged in Mauritius for 10 years in Limousin French oak and cognac barrels. They are then transported to Barbados, where they are mixed with rum, which has been aged for at least 8 years in bourbon barrels in Barbados.
Rum is named after the Nigerian writer Olaudah Equiano, who was a prominent aboliconist, a traveler, and one of the first slave freedom fighters in Africa. By trading in rum, Olaudah redeemed himself from slavery and could devote himself to the slave liberation movement. This is one of the reasons why the rum company (Equiano Rum Co) devotes a certain percentage of its profits to promoting equality.
Equiano is exclusively mixed and bottled at Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. Delivered in a gift tube.
