Description

Whiskey Blue Spot 7 Year Old is the latest addition to the Spot range, and so the series is once again complete. This is the first time it has been released since 1960.

The Irish Spot range, which consists of single pot still whiskeys only , is still made specifically for Mitchell & Son of Dublin by Irish distillers at the Midleton Distillery.

The name derives from the way Mitchell arranged his casks, as they were all given a speckled colour. This was used to mark casks of different ages.

The range now consists of 4 whiskies, the most famous being Green Spot (it was 10 years old but is now NAS), 12 Year Old Yellow Spot, 15 Year Old Red Spot and now the 7 Year Old Blue Spot has returned. What makes this series special is that this Blue Spot is the only one that is bottled in cask strength.

This Blue Spot has been aged in bourbon barrels, sherry casks and Madeira casks for at least 7 years. It is bottled at 59,1 % alcohol.

Jon Rye Wanted is a brand new whiskey from Nicolaus that does not try to compete with Scottish or Irish legends with their history and myths. Instead of endless stories about pedigree and old barrels, it brings something bolder – a pure taste and a rebellious attitude. How did it actually come about? The…
