Redbreast 15 Year Old

Whiskey Redbreast 15 Year Old is produced at the Irish Midleton Distillery using largely traditional methods: it combines malted and unmalted barley, undergoes triple distillation in copper stills, and adheres to the classic Irish-style pot still technology – single pot still. This category is unique to Ireland, just like single malt is to Scotland, and gives the whiskey its typical "coarser" and spicy character.

Redbreast 15 Year Old spends its time in a combination of first-fill and refill bourbon casks and high-quality Oloroso sherry casks, giving it a layered profile with notes of smoked wood, dried fruit, and spice. The production team has fine-tuned the balance between sweet and drier elements to achieve the ideal balance.

The nose is rich and elegant, with tropical and berry fruits, pleasant spices, and oily aromas. The palate is smooth and creamy, with a combination of well-ripened fruit, sandy notes, and spices.

The finish is characterized by a long aftertaste with fresh anise, citrus and a subtle oak note – very sophisticated and well-balanced. We recommend enjoying this whiskey neat, perhaps with ice, but it also works well as the star ingredient in classic cocktails such as a Whiskey Sour.
