Redbreast 15 Year Old

Whisky Redbreast 15 Year Old is produced at the Irish Midleton Distillery largely through traditional selection: it combines malted and unmalted barley, undergoes triple distillation in copper pot stills, and adheres to the classic pot still technology of the Irish style – single pot still. This category is unique to Ireland, just as single malt is to Scotland, and gives the whisky its characteristic “richer” and spicier profile.

Redbreast 15 Year Old spends time in a combination of first-fill and refill bourbon casks and quality Oloroso sherry casks, which imparts a layered profile with notes of smoked wood, dried fruit, and spice. The production team has fine-tuned the balance between sweet and drier elements, achieving the ideal harmony.

On the nose, the whisky is rich and elegant: it features tropical and berry fruits, pleasant spices, and oily aromas. The palate is smooth and creamy, with a blend of well ripened fruit, sandy notes, and spice.

The finish is characterized by a long aftertaste with fresh anise, citrus, and a gentle oak punch – very sophisticated and well-balanced. We recommend enjoying this whisky neat, or with ice, but also use it as the star of classic cocktails, such as Whiskey Sour.
