This fantastic 21-year-old whiskey is no exception. We love this masterpiece, the result of cask selection and blending. It showcases older expressions of tropical fruits, menthol, and leather along with a treat for your taste buds. Hats off to Billy Leighton and everyone at Midleton!
The aroma features tropical pineapple and peanuts, similar to the combination found on the palate. Bold, full, spicy.
The taste is satisfying, delighting the taste buds. We sense the mentioned pineapple and peanuts, menthol along with expected spiciness, and the finish is slightly leathery. At the end, you’ll notice a hint of nectarines. The flavor finish includes a bit of juicy fruit and allows sweet and enticing barley notes to shine through.
Overall, the whiskey is exceptional! Complex yet full of life. Delicious. One of the best Irish whiskeys we have ever had the pleasure of tasting.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 46% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in gift boxes.
