Description

The big brother to the iconic Green Spot whisky, this is the Yellow Spot 12 Year Old. It is matured in three types of casks: bourbon, Spanish sherry and Spanish malaga.

This is a delicious, sophisticated and complex drink. The sweetness of the first sip lasts for a very long time, accompanied by a juicy blend of red wine, fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and malt flavours. The contrast of sweetness and tannins, complemented by light background notes of spicy oak wood exceptionally completes the wonderfully rich, silky and full-bodied flavour.

Yellow Spot is only produced in a limited number of 6,000 bottles per year. These usually manage to sell out at home, so it is rare to buy it anywhere other than Ireland.

The taste of the whiskey does not surprise us,the aroma already suggests that we are in for a real taste fest in our mouths. The initial honeyed sweetness and spiciness gives way to a whole spectrum of flavours, with freshly ground coffee in the depths, creamy milk chocolate and creme brulée on the palate, vanilla, cinnamon, red apples, tropical fruits and burnt oak on the finish. The extra alcohol content makes the flavour exceptionally full and rich.

The bottles are filled with 40 % alcohol at 0,7 l. They are supplied in stylish gift tubes.

Jon Rye Wanted – Slovak whiskey that breaks with tradition
A new product has appeared on the Slovak market that is not afraid to go against the grain. Jon Rye Wanted is a brand new whiskey from Nicolaus that does not try to compete with Scottish or Irish legends with their history and myths. Instead of endless stories about pedigree and old barrels, it brings something bolder – a pure taste and a rebellious attitude. How did it actually come about? The…
