This time at the Ardbeg distillery, they let their great smoky whisky mature first in American oak barrels, and then spiced it up by aging in barrels of the sought-after Côte Rôtie red wine from the south of France. The result is Ardbeg Smoketrails Côte Rôtie. A Scotch single malt whisky that has a full and vibrant taste.

It will strongly remind you of a barbecue in the garden, where grilled vegetables such as artichokes and green peppers intermingle with the aroma of bacon and notes of fresh mint to camphor, which add depth and complexity to the whisky.
