The maturation took place in sherry Oloroso casks that previously held Glenmorangie Original and subsequently produced Glenmorangie Lasanta. Three years later, Ardbeg Uigedail hit the market. The cask from 1565 was so impressive that it was set aside for exceptionally long maturation and subsequently bottled for this cask whisky. This is a limited bottling of 555 bottles.

Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 51% with a volume of 0.7 l.
