Limited Edition Caribbean Rum No.1 Oloroso Sherry is the third release from the Angostura Cask Collection. The rum comes from the island republic of Trinidad and Tobago. It ages for 22 years in American oak barrels and the last 9 months in ex-oloroso sherry casks. With its smooth and delicate flavor featuring notes of oak, nuts, fruit, and lemon zest, it promises an unforgettable experience. Only 16,200 bottles were produced!
The aroma presents a multi-layered profile with warm and rounded notes of cocoa, molasses, oak, and sweet plums, typical of oloroso. The taste is medium-bodied, balanced, with pronounced moments of oak wood, roasted nuts, and subtle hints of sherry style, combining tones of sweet fruit and gentle tannins.
The finish is medium-long and smooth, with a subtle oak accent – juicy, clean, and elegant – perfect for sipping on the rocks or neat.
Angostura is the only rum distillery in Trinidad, established in the town of Laventille. Within the Cask Collection line, they explore various aging types – from bourbon to French oaks to sherry casks.
