Torabhaig Sound Of Sleat Batch Strength is a remarkable release from the Legacy Series of the Torabhaig distillery on the Isle of Skye.
This single malt is bottled at natural cask strength of 60,2 % ABV, with no added colouring and non-chill filtered.

The spirit is made from Concerto and Laureate barley, peated to ~78 PPM, fermented with Pinnacle MG+ yeast, and matured exclusively in American oak casks (a mix of virgin, first-fill, and refill casks).

On the nose, it shows smoke, sea salt, sweet oak spice, hints of tobacco, orange, barley sugar, apricot, and peaty smoke.

The palate is robust yet elegant, with notes of spiced oak and charcoal. A waxy texture, touches of vanilla, white pepper, and oriental smoke add further depth.

The finish is long, with a subtle piquant character, a pinch of spice, coastal freshness, and a pronounced island style.

This whisky has a natural colour, with no additives. Best enjoyed neat at room temperature, or with a few drops of water to unlock its full aroma.
