Torabhaig Sound Of Sleat
Add a tasting glass and elevate your experience to the next level!
Torabhaig, a distillery on the Isle of Skye producing single malt whisky, presents Sound of Sleat, the fourth chapter of its Legacy series. Sound of Sleat, named after the sea strait flowing beside the distillery and sharing its name with the Sleat peninsula on which the distillery stands, continues the tradition of Torabhaig whisky, evoking the atmospheric mist and rugged beauty of the Misty Isle.
Torabhaig Sound of Sleat matures exclusively in new American oak barrels (Quercus Alba) and bourbon casks. This whisky flows with citrus and spicy notes, maritime salinity and rich smoke reminiscent of a spring fire on the beach. It stands out with the elegant smoke for which the distillery is known, bringing to life the philosophy of “smoke with flavor” that permeates every drop produced by the distillery.
The Sleat peninsula, known as the Garden of Skye, is the southernmost peninsula of the island, closest to the mainland and separated only by the Sound of Sleat. The rugged beauty of this area is home and a creative muse for the distillery, shaping and inspiring whisky as complex and captivating as the wild and rugged island itself.
Torabhaig, embodying the beauty and artistry of the island, also reveals new artworks on the label, exclusively created for the distillery by local artists. The first of these, for Sound of Sleat, was painted by artist Ellis O'Connor from Skye, whose vibrant paintings celebrate the energy and movement of nature.
