Tomintoul Madeira Cask Finish is an elegant single malt whisky from Speyside, crafted in small batches under the supervision of Master Distiller Robert Fleming. The base consists of whisky aged in carefully selected American oak barrels that previously held bourbon, which is then finished in barrels that held Madeira wine from the Portuguese islands.

This process imparts a richer, fruitier, and subtly sweet character to the whisky, while maintaining the typical lightness and accessibility of the Tomintoul brand, known as “the gentle dram.”

The nose reveals notes of summer fruits, spiced fruits, and gingerbread cookies, complemented by chocolate orange and delicate pastry spices. The palate is full and juicy, with layers of melon, berries, and candied citrus peel intertwining with chocolate mousse, caramel cake, and an oak hint.

The finish is warm and dessert-like, with tones of cocoa, banana, vanilla panna cotta, and orange marmalade creating a long and pleasant aftertaste.
