Tomintoul 14 Year Old is a smooth and creamy Scottish single malt whisky from Speyside, bottled at a higher alcohol content (46% ABV) and non-chill filtered, which gives it a fuller flavor profile and authentic structure.
This whisky is produced at Tomintoul Distillery, established in 1964 and located in the highest part of the Highlands in Speyside – it uses pure mountain water from the Ballantruan spring. The production follows traditional methods: triple distillation from unpeated barley without the use of peat, utilizing two pairs of copper pot stills and subsequently aging in bourbon casks.
Tomintoul 14 Year Old matures exclusively in ex-bourbon casks made from American oak. It is bottled at 46% ABV, which is stronger than the standard releases of this brand, and is non-chill filtered, preserving its full flavor and texture.
The aroma is delicate and sweet, featuring almonds, crème brûlée, apple blossoms, and subtle citrus notes. The taste of the whisky is smooth and creamy, with hints of vanilla, roasted almonds and a fresh lemon touch.
