Tomintoul 14 Year Old
Tomintoul 14 Year Old is a smooth and creamy Scottish single malt whisky from Speyside, bottled at a higher alcohol content (46 % ABV) and unchillfiltered, giving it a fuller flavour profile and authentic texture.
This whisky is produced at the Tomintoul Distillery, founded in 1964 and located in the highest part of the Highlands in Speyside, using pure mountain water from the Ballantruan spring. Production is traditional: triple distillation from unpeated barley without the use of peat, using two pairs of copper stills and subsequent maturation in bourbon casks.
Tomintoul 14 Year Old is matured exclusively in ex-bourbon American oak casks. It is bottled at 46 % ABV, which is stronger than the brand's regular releases, and is unchill-filtered, retaining its full flavour and texture.
The aroma is delicate and sweet, with notes of almonds, crème brûlée, apple blossoms and subtle citrus. The flavour of the whisky is smooth and creamy, with notes of vanilla, roasted almonds and a fresh hint of lemon.
