It contains 6 different rums from regions such as Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Panama and Florida, giving it a complex flavor. The producers aimed to return to the lighter rum and its roots in the 30s and 40s, when Papa (Hemingway) enjoyed rum in Key West and Cuba, inadvertently creating a new category - light blonde rum. The blonde rum is blended in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry Spanish Oloroso casks.
