Golden Plum Brandy Rudolf Jelínek Vizovická Slivovice 2015 was created by blending the best varieties of that vintage - Stanley, Čačanská Lepotica, Katinka, and further matured on plums. The taste is sweet fruity to honey-like, with notes of sweet dried plums and a light almond aroma of the pits.

The climate of the Wallachian region has favored plums and their cultivation for centuries. Therefore, in 2003, enthusiasts from the Jelínek distillery revived the orchard tradition and began planting their own plum orchards on the southern slope of the Vizovice valley, in an area called Těchlov.

Today, more than 60 hectares of land are planted with plums, and more are added each year. This restores part of the region's original character and utilizes the local specific climatic conditions.

Individual varieties of plums are harvested separately, their ripeness is carefully monitored, and they are also distilled separately. Since 2008, when the first, virgin harvest of twenty-five tons of plums from nine varieties was collected, the golden variant of Vizovická Slivovice R. Jelínek has been produced annually. It is created by blending the best varieties of that vintage and further matured on dried plums. These release a huge amount of aroma, flavor, and especially sweetness into the brandy, which can be felt in every sip.

You have the opportunity to taste the fruits of this laborious, highly skilled, and above all patient manual work in the form of a limited edition of Vizovická Slivovice. We recommend serving it at room temperature, when its flavor and aroma develop best; it is suitable to add a piece of dried plum to the glass, which will further enhance the flavor of the dried plums used during maturation.

Every year, exactly 5,004 bottles of 50% Vizovická Slivovice with a volume of 0.7 l are bottled. The golden Vizovická plum brandy R. Jelínek is allowed to mature for exactly 365 days and its bottling is an annual small celebration.
