Oban Little Bay is a single malt whisky from the Scottish region of Highland. Its interesting flavor profile is the result of a bit of experimentation with casks. Master Blenders Dr Matthew Crow and Dr Craig Wilson created this single malt from whisky maturing in American oak casks, European oak casks that previously held sherry, and re-filled casks with new heads. And all of this was allowed to connect in the smallest 200-liter oak casks they had at the distillery.
And the result? A bold and complex whisky that boasts not only multiple awards but especially delicious notes of Christmas pudding, citrus, and spicy cloves with a chocolate finish.
For the best flavor development, serve neat or with a splash of cold spring water.
