Mezan Dominican Republic 2012 is an exclusive molasses rum from the Dominican Republic that was distilled in 2012. It was produced at the AFD distillery. It underwent transcontinental maturation in ex-bourbon barrels!
First matured for three years in a tropical climate. Subsequently, it was transported to Europe, where it underwent 7 years of maturation. It has a wonderful aroma full of vanilla with notes of fruit and wood. The idea of the Mezan collection is to bring to the consumer the story of the diversity of rum in the Caribbean islands, be it in style or production method.
It is made without cold filtration, added dyes, sugars and flavorings. The bottle is in a very nice blue-white gift box.
Color: mahogany with brown-orange reflections
Aroma: vanilla, pastry, sugar cane, fruit, wood
Taste: slightly spicy, fruit, orange, coconut, ginger
Finish: long, bitter-sweet, pepper, molasses, cinnamon
