Lazy Dodo XO Chronicles
Lazy Dodo XO Chronicles is an extra old single estate rum. During its production, molasses is fermented for up to 30 hours and then distilled in a Coffey column still. The rum then ages for at least 13 years in ex-cognac and ex-bourbon barrels made of French oak. A blend of the finest vintages creates a balanced and well-structured rum.
It has a beautiful copper color with an orange hue. Initially, it offers a palette of sophisticated aromas, ranging from citrus and woody flavors to lighter notes of caramelized sugar and oranges, which add an astonishing freshness. The finish is warm and pleasantly long-lasting. Lazy Dodo XO Chronicles is a sensory experience.
Interestingly, the rum is named after the bird Dodo - the flightless Dodo (Mauritian), which lived on the island of Mauritius and unfortunately is now extinct. The Dodo had short legs, could not fly, and had a hard, curved beak that was up to 23 cm long. The Dodo was not afraid of humans at all, and since it could not fly, it was easy prey. The first to spot the Dodo were the Portuguese, who landed on the island in 1505. The name dodo comes from the old Portuguese word doudou, meaning "fool."
Bottles were filled with an alcohol content of 40% with a volume of 0.7 l and come in a stylish gift box.
