Lazy Dodo comes from Mauritius, specifically from Pamplemousses, a district located in the northwestern part of the island. The rum is carefully produced on one of the charming plantations of Mauritius. It acquires the natural aroma and flavor of sugarcane and exotic fruits during the distillation process.
This is followed by aging in French oak barrels for a minimum of 12 years, which adds to the complexity of the rum.
Lazy Dodo has an amber color and promising fresh exotic notes. The taste is well-aged, carrying citrus and woody nuances. Simply put, Lazy Dodo is the perfect combination of flavors from the island of Mauritius.
Interestingly, the rum is named after the bird Dodo - the flightless Dodo (Mauritian), which lived on the island of Mauritius but unfortunately is now extinct. The Dodo had short legs, could not fly, and had a hard, curved beak that was up to 23 cm long. The Dodo was not afraid of humans at all, and since it could not fly, it was easy prey. The first to spot the Dodo were the Portuguese, who landed on the island in 1505. The name dodo comes from the old Portuguese word doudou, which means "fool."
Bottles were filled with an alcohol content of 40% with a volume of 0.7 l.
