La Maison du Rhum Guatemala 2020 Batch No.3
Unique rum, this time from Guatemala! This is La Maison du Rhum Guatemala 2020 Batch No.3.
Batch No. 3 is limited to 3,918 bottles.
La Maison du Rhum is an independent company from France. The company releases limited series of exceptional bottles from world-renowned rum producers from significant destinations. These are true treasures of rums.
This rum is distilled from sugarcane syrup at the Botran distillery. Thanks to the production site, as well as the storage location at 2,300 meters above sea level, excellent climatic conditions are achieved. The aging phase of the rum takes place at low temperatures and lower oxygen content.
Through the used Solera process, aging takes place in the Guatemalan highlands, first in ex-bourbon barrels, and only then does it take its final form in used ex-sherry Oloroso barrels.
As a result, the rum is incredibly woody in aroma and flavor, rich in vanilla and spices with a hint of honey tones.
In terms of presentation, the bottle comes with a gift tube and a colorful label, all in a retro colonial style. The distillation date and bottling date, type of barrels used, name of the distillery, type of distillation equipment: all of this is carefully listed on the label of each bottle, demonstrating that the brand's designers have perfectly understood the demands of today's spirit enthusiasts.
Bottling took place in 2020 with an alcohol content of 42% and a volume of 0.7 l.
