La Maison Du Rhum is a traditional producer of rum from Martinique. The history of this brand dates back to 1749, when Ferdinand Poulain, Count of Mauna and adviser to the King of France, arrived in Martinique and married the daughter of a plantation owner in Riviere Pilote. He gave his name to the plantation in the south of the island: La Mauny Domain.
