La Maison Du Rhum is a traditional rum producer from Martinique. The history of this brand dates back to 1749, when Ferdinand Poulain, Count of Mauny and advisor to the French king, arrives in Martinique and marries the daughter of a plantation owner in Riviere Pilote. He named the plantation in the south of the island: La Mauny Domain.

They mainly focused on growing and producing sugar along with Tafia, which is a precursor to rum. In 1820, the La Mauny distillery develops the production of Agricole rum.

After years of work and changes in ownership, in 1950, rum La Maison experiences a sharp increase in popularity. The La Mauny labels appear on the island for the first time in cafés, hotels, and restaurants. Export sales begin.

Today, the brand continues to produce its premium rums and has received many international awards for its quality and sustainable production practices.
