Kilchoman Port Cask Matured 2024 Edition

This limited edition Kilchoman Port Cask Matured 2024 single malt whisky from the Kilchoman distillery on Islay is matured in ruby port wine casks. For balance, two contrasting ages have been combined, with the youngest component matured for 6 years.

Kilchoman's founder, Anthony Wills, stresses the importance of full maturation, noting its complexity and the harmonious blend of Kilchoman's natural citrus and sweetness with the influence of the port cask. Aging in port wine casks adds an extra intense sweetness of cinnamon and figs to this single malt malt whisky.

The 2024 edition is the third in the Port Cask Matured series to be aged exclusively in ruby port casks, with the youngest cask being 6 years old. This full-bodied aging approach sets it apart from many others that typically use the aging method.
