Hampden Estate HLCF 12 Year Old Rare Cask Series #79
Hampden Estate HLCF 12 Year Old Rare Cask Series #79 is the second rum released in a special edition of high-ester rums distilled at the Hampden distillery in Jamaica in 2010. It is a molasses-based pure single rum fermented with the help of natural yeasts and distilled using the pot still method. The rum aged for a full 12 years in bourbon casks in a tropical climate and with the designation HLCF offers a flavor experience with esters at the level of 500-700 g/hL.
Produced in a limited quantity of only 243 bottles for the entire world.
Aroma: vibrant yet delicate, candied lemon, ripe bananas, kiwi, lychee, white flowers, pears
Taste: unpredictable, creamy notes of coconut and agave, pear, nutmeg, herbal notes, rhubarb, and vanilla
Finish: long and oily, empyreumatic, notes of tobacco, bitter, salty butter caramel, raspberries, and cherries
