Foursquare 2009 Cask Strength

Foursquare 2009 Cask Strength is part of the unique and rare rum edition Exceptional Cask Selections, personally selected by master distiller Richard Seal. It is his personal project of creating rums that are released to the world only when he feels they have achieved extraordinary quality. These rums are one of a kind, available only for a short time, and represent a truly remarkable approach to blending and aging rums.

Foursquare 2009 Cask Strength Mark XVII aged for 12 years in a combination of first, second, and third-fill bourbon casks. The tropical climate of the island accelerated the aging process at many levels by 2 - 3 times compared to if it had aged in Europe or another temperate climate. The result is an authentic rum created without coloring, without added sugar, without additional flavoring, and without filtration. It stands out with a delicious flavor profile full of sweet fruity notes dominated by cherries combined with a sweet-earthy base.

The rum is bottled at a higher 60% alcohol content.
