Foursquare Mandamus

Foursquare Mandamus (Mark XXIX) is the twenty-ninth limited release in the Exceptional Cask Selection series, one of the most acclaimed rum ranges in the world. This 16-year-old Single Blended Rum is a blend of pot still and column still distillates from a single producer – Foursquare Rum Distillery – representing the pinnacle of craftsmanship by Richard Seale and his team.

The rum matured through a dual ageing process: 10 years in ex-bourbon casks and 6 years in ex-Tawny Port casks. This method creates a richly fruity and complex profile with a pronounced port-cask influence. Mandamus is bottled at 57% ABV, natural in colour, non-chill filtered and free from any additives, ensuring an authentic rum experience.

The nose offers intense notes of blackberries, ripe pineapple, plum, cherries, sultanas, vanilla caramel, ginger, hazelnut, walnut and blackcurrant.

The palate is soft, sweet and full-bodied – ripe black cherries, raspberries, Victoria plums, more sultanas and a subtle hint of orange zest.

The finish is long and complex, revealing bitter chocolate, black tea, white pepper, a touch of chilli and a gently smoky, toasted oak character.
