The very first Irish whiskey produced in a pot still with periodic distillation, maturing in Bordeaux casks! This is Green Spot Château Léoville Barton.

The selection of Bordeaux wine is also important - Ch. Léoville Barton is not just a highly regarded grand cru Château, its name comes from the winemaker of the Irish wine company "Wine Geese" Thomas Barton. The Léoville Barton estate is still run by his descendants. This drink is a celebration of shared Irish heritage.

Green Spot whiskey first matures in a combination of ex-sherry Oloroso casks, fresh American oak casks, and ex-bourbon casks. It ultimately finishes and matures in Château Léoville Barton Bordeaux wine casks for 12 to 24 months.

The initial aroma is the result of French oak influence, adding spicy character to the Single Pot Still along with sharp forest notes. The wine spice brings a delicate touch of floral fragrance and hints of ripe berries like raspberries and strawberries, complementing the orchard fruit typical of Green Spot.

The well-known mouthfeel is a very satisfying balance of oak and spice. A certain vanilla sweetness works in harmony with the influence of dry wine, while fresh orchard fruit and French oak seamlessly combine with barley grains, enhancing the complexity.
