Ardnamurchan Single Malt
The team at Ardnamurchan distillery have made significant progress with their single malt over previous batch releases and this latest AD/single malt represents a fantastic step into the future. Ardnamurchan Distillery's single malts have been released with a numerical code for the past 2 years. This indicated in which month and year the batch was produced. Now that the profile of the whisky has been set out in a number of releases, the numerical coding has been dropped and the whisky is simply called AD/.
The character remains unchanged: the whisky is made from a 50:50 peat/no peat malt-distillate, so it is essentially a medium smoke whisky. 65 % matured in ex-bourbon casks and 35 % matured in ex-sherry casks. The whisky has not been chill filtered and has not been coloured.
The bottles are bottled at 46,8 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l and are presented in gift boxes.
