Akashi - Tai Ginjo Yuzushu

Akashi Tai Ginjo Yuzushu is a refreshing Japanese citrus liqueur made from aromatic yuzu fruit and high-quality Ginjo sake. This drink comes from the craft brewery Akashi-Tai, where it is produced in small batches under the guidance of experienced sake master – Toji Kimia Yonezawa.

The result is a fresh and harmonious drink with a pronounced citrus aroma, natural sweetness, and a delicate acidity typical of yuzu. This Japanese citrus resembles a combination of lemon, mandarin, and grapefruit, giving the drink a very distinctive and refreshing character.

The Yonezawa family has been producing sake since 1856. For generations, they have used only carefully selected local ingredients and traditional production methods that emphasize the purity and quality of the final product. The production of Akashi-Tai sake takes place in smaller batches, allowing for thorough control of each step of the process. Premium rice Yamadanishiki grade A+ is also used in production, which is considered one of the best rice for sake making and adds complexity and depth of flavor to the drinks. Lovers of Japanese beverages will appreciate it just like other products from the sake category or fruit liqueurs.

The aroma is dominated by intense yuzu citrus notes complemented by subtle floral and fruity nuances. The aroma feels fresh, aromatic, and very refreshing. The taste is light, fresh, and harmonious. Pronounced yuzu citrus notes emerge, complemented by gentle sweetness and mild acidity. In the background, a delicate trace of sake appears, giving the drink an elegant structure.

Akashi Tai Ginjo Yuzushu is ideal as a refreshing aperitif or as part of modern cocktails. It tastes best well chilled, with ice, or lightly diluted with soda water. Thanks to its citrus freshness, it pairs excellently with desserts, light dishes, or as an interesting alternative to classic fruit liqueurs.
