The GlenAllachie 15 Year Old Scottish Virgin Oak

The GlenAllachie Scottish Virgin Oak is a limited edition 15-year-old single malt whisky from the Speyside region. Aged for 13 years and 6 months in ex-bourbon American Quercus Alba oak casks. The remaining 18 months were spent maturing in specially selected Scottish Sessile oak casks. This very rare single malt gains its sophisticated flavor from casks made from Scottish Sessile oak (Quercus Petrae) sourced from the Atlantic coast.

Working with Scottish oak is incredibly challenging at all stages of production, whether it’s growing, milling, or coopering. Its rarity and costliness in creation mean that it is rarely used. Before processing, the wood was dried for 36 months, then toasted and charred to a medium level.

The entire production and aging process was overseen by the legendary Billy Walker. This is a limited edition, meaning that only 2250 bottles were produced. No added colors or chill filtration. The whisky comes in a very nice gift packaging.
