Teeling Single Pot Still
Pronunciation: {Tíling}Teeling Single Pot Still pays homage to the long tradition of Dublin distilleries - it is the first Irish single pot still spirit legally distilled in Dublin in almost half a century.
It is made from a mash bill of 50 % malted and 50 % unmalted barley, which is the quintessential Irish style of Teeling whiskey. Distillation takes place traditionally in copper pot stills, followed by maturation in a combination of American new oak, ex-bourbon barrels, and sherry casks.
The aroma offers a complex palette - you can smell grapefruit, citrus, white grapefruit, hibiscus, honey, and grapes, underpinned by subtle spicy notes such as cinnamon, white pepper, and bitter-sweet roasted almonds. The palate reveals notes of lychee, white grapes, warm baked peaches, vanilla, and biscuits, intertwined with a slight creaminess and sweet tones of maple syrup or muscovado sugar. The finish is dry and spicy, with a subtle hint of roasted almonds or maple syrup.
This whiskey is versatile - great on its own when you want to appreciate its complexity and structure (neat or with a few drops of water). On ice, the cool notes are accentuated and the depth of its aroma is underscored. It is also perfect for classic cocktails such as Old Fashioned, Manhattan or Irish Coffee, where its balanced fruity and spicy notes can blossom beautifully.
The bottles are filled with 46 % alcohol by volume, have a volume of 0,7 l and are delivered in gift tubes.
