Teeling Single Grain

Irish whiskey made from a single grain by Teeling! Currently, there are only a few elite Irish whiskeys made from a single grain (Single Grain), but Teeling has gone further and produced their unique aging in California Cabernet Sauvignon casks. Teeling Single Grain hides a pleasantly sweet flavor with a necessary dose of spice and fruit.
Teeling Single Grain uses an unorthodox composition - predominantly corn (95%) with malted barley (5%) and is distilled continuously in column stills.
It then ages exclusively in ex–Cabernet Sauvignon casks from California, gaining a distinct red fruit profile with a softer tannin structure. It is triple distilled, without the use of chill filtration, and bottled at 46% ABV.
The whiskey boasts aromas of red grapes, berry fruits, gentle spices, and sweetness. The taste is silky smooth, with a combination of sweet fruit and tannins, finishing with a drier, short conclusion.
Reviewers also describe pronounced notes of honey, condensed milk, caramel, dried cranberries, and a blend of tropical fruits with spices. The finish is tannic, drier, yet inviting for another sip.
Teeling Single Grain is not an overtly complex whiskey, but very pleasant, elegant, and addictive.
