Naga Rum Cask Aged originates from Indonesia (Java Island), where sugar cane is grown on the company's own plantations.
Indonesian rum that will enchant you with its wonderful balance between aroma and taste. It is produced in the northern part of Java Island according to long-standing Asian traditions.
A combination of traditional pot still distillation methods and modern column stills is used in its production. Approximately 52 % of the rum is distilled in the traditional way with an alcohol content of around 65 %, while the remaining 48 % comes from column distillation, where the alcohol content reaches up to 92 %. This combination ensures a harmonious balance between full flavour and smoothness.
The resulting rum is a combination of pot still and column distillation. Java Reserve is aged for 3 to 5 years, first in teak barrels (a hardwood from Southeast Asia) and then in American bourbon barrels.
The rum offers rich tropical aromas with hints of caramel, toffee and dark chocolate, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla and ripe fruit such as mango and banana.
It is full and smooth on the palate, with a combination of sweetness from caramel and vanilla, complemented by notes of dark chocolate and subtle spice. Tropical fruit and a light hint of smoke add depth and complexity.
