Meukow VSOP Petite Champagne
Meukow VSOP Petite Champagne is an elegant and balanced cognac from Petite Champagne – the second most prestigious appellation in the Cognac region. The hues range from gold to amber, with a delicate aroma of floral and fruity notes and a smooth texture, ideal for enjoying neat, with water, or as a premium digestif.
After double distillation, selected eaux-de-vie from Petite Champagne and parts of Grande Champagne age for a minimum of two years in French oak barrels. Master Blender Anne Sarteaux – one of the pioneers of this craft – carefully monitors the aging process in an area called "Paradis," where the natural "angel's share" contributes to the finesse and complexity of the final product.
The nose features delicate notes of flowers, white fruit, gentle oak, and spice. On the palate, flavors of apricots, candied oranges, and vanilla unfold, complemented by hints of fresh honey and hazelnut. The finish is smooth and slightly spicy, with sweet notes.
The Meukow family estate was founded in 1862 by the Meukow brothers, who brought cognac pieces to the Russian tsar. Since 1979, it has been part of the Compagnie de Guyenne group, under the leadership of the Coste family. The Petite Champagne line has been strengthened since 2007 under the guidance of Anne Sarteaux, who maintains the brand's elegant style – power and flexibility like a panther, the brand's symbol since 1993.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 40% with a volume of 0.7 l.
