Macallan A Night on Earth The Journey

During one special night of the year, family and friends come together to make memories and plan for the future. That evening is New Year's Eve! Macallan A Night on Earth is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky that has been created to represent this reunion with loved ones and those special moments around the world.

The whisky is matured in a selection of ex-sherry American and European oak casks and then ex-bourbon American oak casks. This captures the unique bready, sweet and rich character of the whisky.

Artist Nini Sum contributed to the design of the gift box and overall bottle visuals, and in this release she has captured the feeling of coming home to celebrate the New Year, a time when we can leave behind the busy rhythms of life and replace them with a sense of calm, hope and warmth. The New Year is celebrated by millions of people around the world in different cultures. Nini's fondest memories of the New Year are of the loud, bright fireworks in the night sky and the lanterns her neighbours used as a welcoming sign that brightened her street. She really managed to capture these moments.

She prefers vanilla, baked apple, baked cookies, plum and almond in her whiskey scents. The soft, velvety sweet taste is reminiscent of shortbread, vanilla sweetness, with lightly toasted marshmallow, dried orange, fig and cinnamon. The final taste is sweet caramel with freshly baked biscuits.

The bottles were filled at 43 % alcohol and the volume is 0,7 l.
