On one exceptional evening of the year, family and friends gather to create memories and plan for the future. This evening is New Year's Eve! The Macallan A Night on Earth is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky created to represent this gathering with our loved ones and those unique moments around the world.
The whisky matured in a selection of ex-sherry American and European oak casks and subsequently in ex-bourbon American oak casks. It captures the unique bread-like, sweet, and rich character of the whisky.
The design of the gift box and the overall visual of the bottle was created by artist Nini Sum, who captured the feeling of coming home to celebrate New Year's, a time when we can leave behind the hectic pace of life and replace it with a sense of peace, hope, and warmth. Millions of people around the world celebrate New Year's in various cultures. Nini's fondest memories of New Year's are of the loud, vibrant fireworks in the night sky and the lanterns that her neighbors used as a welcoming sign, which brought her street to life. She truly managed to capture these moments.
In the aroma of the whisky, vanilla, baked apple, baked cookies, plum, and almonds are preferred. The soft, velvety sweet taste resembles delicate pastry, vanilla sweetness, with a hint of toasted marshmallow, dried orange, fig, and cinnamon. The finish is sweet caramel with freshly baked cookies.
Bottles were filled with an alcohol content of 43% and a volume of 0.7 l.
