Lighthouse Coffee Colombia Supremo Rio Magdalena 500 g
The select coffee beans Lighthouse Coffee Colombia Supremo Rio Magdalena come from the Colombian Andes, where they are grown on volcanic soil at high altitude.
The original Arabica and Caturra varieties are hand-picked, processed using the wet method and then dried in the sun. This allows them to retain their unique character – medium to full body with very mild acidity, typical of the highest quality coffees from South America.
The flavour is dominated by notes of marzipan chocolate, cocoa, hazelnuts, ripe plums, raisins and dried dates. The perfectly balanced, complex flavours complement each other without any significant acidity, creating a pleasant, harmonious experience. The coffee is of the ‘Supremo’ grade – indicating large, top-quality beans – which is reflected in its consistency and flavour profile.
This versatile Arabica is ideal for preparation in a variety of ways. As an espresso, its medium body, balanced flavour and delicate acidity stand out – the Great Taste 2024 judges particularly appreciated the ‘juicy and bitter espresso with a fruity hint of dried apricot jam and hazelnuts’; when milk is added, the delicate mocha chocolate tones are accentuated and linger.
When prepared in a French press or using filtered methods, the nuances of fruit and nuts open up, giving the cup lighter and fresher tones – perfect for slower enjoyment. In an automatic coffee machine, it provides a stable and pleasant result with a rich crema and body.
The package contains 500 g.
