Lagavulin 8 Year Old + 2 Glasses
Whisky Lagavulin 8 Year Old was created in 2016 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Lagavulin distillery founded by John Johnston in 1816. This eight-year-old unique spirit has an enormous strength of smoke and spice, beautifully complemented by sweet spices.
The whisky was inspired by the visit of Alfred Barnard (distiller and historian) to the distillery in the 1980s, when he attempted to create an exceptionally smooth eight-year-old whisky. He succeeded, and since the whisky turned out well, it was included in the core portfolio of the brand.
The whisky aged 8 years in oak barrels. The aroma features ground black pepper and aromatic wood, fresh notes of orange and lemon peel. Pleasant aromas of bonfires, hot shells with a hint of smoked meat. A drop of water in the whisky brings the scent of peach and green apple.
On the palate, woody notes of coffee intertwine with crunchy oats and honeyed fruit. Hints of tobacco and spice. Bottles were filled with an alcohol content of 48% and the volume is 0.7 l. They are delivered in a stylish gift box along with two glasses.
