Kilchoman Family Collection 20 Year Old

Kilchoman Family Collection 20 Year Old is a limited Islay single malt Scotch whisky from the first edition of the Family Collection. The casks for this collection are selected by the founding Wills family during their annual inspection of maturing stocks, with each bottling reflecting the personal choice of family members and the development of Kilchoman's character.

The first edition features four bottlings, with the 20-year-old version being its flagship release and the oldest generally available Kilchoman at the time of release. The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and was made from heavily peated barley from Port Ellen Maltings, which represents the distillery's traditional smoky profile.

The flavor combines long maturation with Kilchoman's typical island character. Notes of honeyed malt, vanilla, tropical fruits, citrus, toasted coconut, ripe oak, and softened maritime peat smoke emerge. The result is a mature, elegant, and layered whisky that showcases how Kilchoman evolves with significantly longer aging in bourbon casks.
