Kilchoman Family Collection 11 Year Old

The Kilchoman Family Collection 11 Year Old is a limited edition Islay single malt Scotch whisky from the first edition of the Family Collection. The Wills family selects the casks for this collection during their annual inspection of maturing stocks, with each bottling reflecting the personal choice of the founding family members and the evolving character of the Kilchoman distillery.

This 11-year-old version is the only ex-sherry bottling in the first edition. It was made from heavily peated barley with a value of 50 ppm from Port Ellen Maltings, giving it the traditional smoky Kilchoman profile.

On the palate, it combines a rich sherry character with pronounced island peat. Notes of campfire smoke, raisins, orange peel, dark chocolate, dried figs, cocoa, roasted nuts, cinnamon, and subtle sea salt emerge. The result is a rich, bold, and layered whisky that stands in contrast to the ex-bourbon versions from the same collection.
