Kilchoman 100 % Islay Edition 2023

The thirteenth edition of Kilchoman 100 % Islay Edition is the first release since 2019, where Anthony Wills (the founder) decided to age exclusively in bourbon casks. These were mostly fresh casks, which gives the whisky beautiful layers of buttery vanilla and caramel flavors that beautifully blend with the citrus sweetness of the distillate.
100 % Islay was distilled from barley harvested in 2012, 2013, and 2014 and then aged for a minimum of 8 years in 44 ex-bourbon casks.
This is a limited edition, with only 13,000 bottles! The alcohol content is 50 % and the whisky is slightly peaty. In the aroma and taste, there are also pronounced layers of vanilla, caramel, and citrus sweetness.
Bottles are delivered in beautiful gift boxes. We recommend serving neat at room temperature or with a cube of ice.
