El Dorado Versailles Single Still 2009
El Dorado Versailles Single Still 2009 is an exceptional rum from Guyana that reflects the rich history and traditional distillation methods of the region.
The El Dorado Single Still Aged rums are a selection of pure distilled Demerara rums produced in some of the highly regarded historical distilleries and then aged in small batches.
These individual marques, each with its own distinctive character, are traditionally skillfully blended to give soul to the El Dorado Aged rums. Now you can enjoy them in their purest form, unblended, to reveal their individually diverse and rich flavors.
The 18th-century Plantation Versailles, which was then owned by the French family L'Amirault, was located on the western bank of the Demerara River and was known for its golden rum. The rum is distilled in a simple wooden pot still and is caramel-colored before aging for 12 years in oak barrels.
This rum celebrates the smooth chocolate flavor of fine aged rum. It is ideal for sipping neat or on the rocks to highlight its complex flavors and aromas.
