The heritage of the Demerara River

El Dorado rums originate from the Demerara River valley in northeastern Guyana, a region with ideal tropical conditions for growing sugarcane. Their distinctive character comes from historic wooden stills – including the legendary Wooden Coffey Still and Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still, among the last of their kind in the world.

The art of ageing and blending

El Dorado rums are aged in oak bourbon casks and blended according to the original recipes of Master Blender Sharon Sue-Hang-Bogan, who carefully crafts perfectly balanced flavours. The result is a unique depth, smoothness, and elegance that define the El Dorado name.
