De Luze Extra Fine Champagne
De Luze Extra Fine Champagne is a harmonious blend of eaux-de-vie from Grande and Petite Champagne, the most prestigious terroirs of AOC Cognac.
Eaux-de-vie ages in French oak barrels until they reach the peak of their flavor, then they are carefully blended by the cellar master according to true cognac tradition.
In 1817, Alfred De Luze and his brother Louise-Philippe founded a wine and cognac export company in New York. In 1822, the company De Luze Alfred A. & Son of Luze was established in Bordeaux. In 1862, Alfred Luze purchased Domaine du Chaigne in the Grande Champagne growing area to begin producing cognacs. After a period of inactivity in the early 20th century, Michel Boinaud revived the distillery in 1940.
The De Luze headquarters is located in Angeac-Champagne in the Charente department of France, about 7 miles south of Cognac. De Luze has its own cooperage that manufactures and repairs barrels.
The aroma is wonderfully floral, fruity, and spicy, with notes of lily and ripe figs. The taste starts lightly, almost delicately, then gains strength and generosity.
Give the cognac some time in the glass and enjoy it neat.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 40% with a volume of 0.7 l and are presented in gift cartons.
