Lautrec Extra Rare
Luxury French cognac Lautrec Extra Rare Grande Champagne in an elegant black bottle, exceptionally impressive wooden gift box, and with an even more impressive content.
Lautrec Extra Rare is a 1er cru cognac with an exclusive origin from the French region of Grande Champagne. The history of this cognac began in 1838 when Paul Louis Seignette decided to combine his two greatest passions: cognac and horses. He was inspired by the strength and nobility of the best horse he ever owned, an exceptional Arabian thoroughbred of the Akhal-Teke breed named Lautrec. His endeavor was to create a cognac that would be as strong and noble as this legendary racehorse.
Cognac Lautrec is today patiently handcrafted using secret techniques in the same way as at the beginning of its creation. On the clay-limestone soil in the oceanic climate of the Grande Champagne region, the predominantly used grape variety for its production is ugni blanc. After double distillation in copper pot stills, the resulting eaux-de-vie is transferred to dark cellars, where it ages for many years to develop the finest flavor notes. In the case of this exceptional cognac, it even aged for up to 35 years in the finest French oak barrels.
Cognacs from the Lautrec brand are characterized by a fresh floral aroma, a kind of “masculine raw power” just like their counterpart in the form of the horse Lautrec, and a typical velvety taste, where vanilla and a structured leather finish emerge.
