Lautrec VSOP
Lautrec VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) is an extra luxurious 4-year-old premier cru cognac from the renowned French region of Grande Champagne. Packaged in an interesting wooden gift box for every lover of this noble drink.
The history of Lautrec cognacs began in 1838 when Paul Louis Seignette decided to combine his two greatest passions: cognac and horses. He was inspired by the strength and nobility of the best horse he ever owned, an exceptional Arabian thoroughbred of the Akhal-Teke breed named Lautrec. His goal was to create a cognac that would be as strong and noble as this legendary racehorse.
Cognac Lautrec is today patiently handcrafted using secret techniques in the same way as at the beginning of its creation. On the clay-limestone soil in the oceanic climate of the Grande Champagne region, the predominantly used white grape variety for its production is ugni blanc. After double distillation in copper pot stills, the resulting eaux-de-vie is moved to dark cellars, where cognac Lautrec VSOP ages for 4 years in small French oak barrels, allowing the finest flavor notes to develop.
The Lautrec cognac stands out with its fresh floral aroma. It also features a characteristic velvety taste, with hints of vanilla and a structured leather finish.
This cognac is best enjoyed neat as a digestif.
