Lautrec VS
Lautrec VS (Very Special) is an exclusive 2-year-old premier cru cognac from the renowned French Grande Champagne region. The history of this cognac began in 1838 when Paul Louis Seignette decided to combine his two greatest passions: cognac and horses. He was inspired by the strength and nobility of the best horse he ever owned, an exceptional Akhal-Teke purebred Arabian horse named Lautrec. His goal was to create a cognac that would be as strong and noble as this legendary racehorse.
Cognac Lautrec is today patiently handcrafted using secret techniques in the same way as at the beginning of its creation. On the clay-limestone soil in the oceanic climate of the Grande Champagne region, the predominantly used grape variety for its production is ugni blanc. After double distillation in copper pot stills, the resulting eaux-de-vie is transferred to dark cellars, where it ages for 2 years in small French oak barrels, allowing the finest flavor notes to develop in this cognac.
It stands out with a fresh floral aroma, a certain masculine raw power (just like its namesake horse Lautrec), and a velvety taste featuring vanilla and a structured leather finish.
