Cihuatán Indigo 8 Year Old is an elegant Salvadoran dark rum that embodies the rich culture and mysticism of the Mayan civilization. Produced by Licorera Cihuatán, the only distillery in El Salvador where the entire process - from growing sugarcane to aging — takes place on-site. The name Indigo is inspired by the Mayan goddess of fertility Tlaloc and the indigo color, symbolizing harmony and eternity.

The rum is aged for 8 years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels under the tropical climate of the fertile Cihuatán Valley. This maturation imparts gentle sweetness, depth, and complexity, creating a harmonious style full of fruit, vanilla, and spice, while remaining fresh and easy to drink.

On the nose, it reveals notes of caramel, roasted almonds, orange peel, dried fruit, and a touch of vanilla.
