Angostura is one of the most significant rum producers in the entire Caribbean region. The name 1787 recalls the year the first sugar factory was built in Trinidad on the famous sugar plantation Lapeyrouse. The year 1787 marks the beginning of the unstoppable development of rum production in Trinidad at the same time. Caribbean rum was known worldwide as early as the late 18th century. Angostura has a mahogany hue with hints of bronze. The rum is beautifully balanced, with a sweet bouquet of bananas, dried fruits, and oak, mingled with notes of apples. Its flavor carries hints of dried plums and sweet rounded oak tones, intertwined with delicate caramel accents, with a long and sharp finish.
