Tullamore Dew XO Caribbean Rum Cask Finish

Tullamore Dew XO represents a unique new product of Irish whiskey, which is exceptionally smooth, has a distinct character, richer flavor, and a finish of sweet tropical fruits. This whiskey is triple distilled, triple blended and aged in oak barrels that previously held Caribbean rum. It is the perfect combination of Caribbean soul and Irish heart.

In the aroma of this whiskey, you can sense gentle vanilla and oak, which form the base; complemented by citrus notes, ripe bananas, and light spices. The background features a sweet aroma of dried fruits, dates, and raisins.

The taste is smooth and creamy; dominant are the notes of caramel and banana, intertwined with the sweetness of rum. In the mid-palate, a fruity profile emerges (softer tropical fruit), followed by dried fruit and gentle spices; the finish is sweet, with hints of caramel, banana, and a very pleasant aftertaste with a subtle spicy conclusion.

We recommend serving it ideally neat, at room temperature in a glass that allows the aromas to develop (e.g., Glencairn). If the taste is too sweet or you wish to emphasize the fruity notes, one or two drops of water can help. It is also suitable for cocktails that allow the rum finish to shine – tropical drinks or mixed beverages with a rum character.
